Planning what I want to include on my new blog is a great way to think about new beginnings for 2010.
There are so many projects that I've been dreaming about starting for too long, I'm going to use this blog as a diary for progress and to get the best out of the amazing community of crafters that is invisibly out there being busy and productive.
There won't be any photos yet because I want to wait for good light and we are in a foggy wet gloom in Hastings.
I have today finished threading up my new peg loom, and tomorrow I will sort through my charity shop bag and stock of fabrics to make a small experimental rug. I do hav screaming from upstairs and angry shouts, baby has a nosebleed from bouncing on the sofa, cold flannel and comforting words e a pattern book of traditional American hook rug patterns which I was considering using, but I suppose I will stick to some simple and bold stripes for my first attempt.
I have today knitted two row of my mixed yarn skirt. I'm calling it the 'sampler' skirt because I'm constructing it in rectangular panels of different knit stitches to be joined together in the round at the hip, with triangular panels in a simple lace stitch fitting between the rectangles holding the whole design together. When I have some images I'll blab on about the UPCYCLED yarn.
baby runs in whimpering for a cuddle and whines to sit on my knee. bedtime.
